What are Honeycomb Blinds?
Honeycomb Blinds are the energy efficient alternative to traditional window coverings. They offer exceptional warmth and light filtering thanks to their unique, honeycomb-style design that provides layered insulation and light diffusion. For large windows, honeycomb blinds — offer sound absorption in rooms with hardwood flooring. Honeycomb Blinds offer you the ability to control the amount of natural light that comes into your rooms.
Honeycomb blinds are characterised by their unique smart cellular pleated design. The cells provide an insulation barrier that reduces the exchange of heat in summer and maintains warmth in the winter. The double-walled honeycomb structure makes the fabric extremely strong, durable and flexible.
What kind of features are available with Honeycomb Blinds?
Custom window coverings can be upgraded in more ways than just color and style. Here are just a few options that are available with honeycomb blinds:
- Top-Down/Bottom-Up Controls: A very popular option that allows honeycomb blinds to be raised and lowered in either direction to allow for privacy similar to that of a cafe curtain.
- Cordless Lift: This popular option provides a hidden control system that eliminates the lift cord on honeycomb blinds and enables the shades to be easily raised or lowered with the touch of a finger.
- Continuous Cord Loop Controls: This option means the cords on honeycomb blinds will be secured to wall or window frame, meaning your shades will have fewer cords on display. A great choice for larger/heavier blinds.
- Motorized Lift: With a motorized lift upgrade, honeycomb blinds can be raised or lowered at the push of a button.

What are Honeycomb blinds?
Honeycomb Blinds or Duette Blinds are attached to the top of the window in what is called a head rail, and may be raised or lowered by using a basic cord system. By using this cord system, part of your window may be covered, providing needed shade and installation, while leaving another portion of the window uncovered. As the shades are pulled up, the cellular blinds are stacked neatly on top of each other, providing an organized and kempt look to your window covering. Honeycomb Blinds/Cellular shades appear as smooth panels of pleated fabric when they are covering a window, and as finely stacked blinds when raised.
